Anton Zalesky brings a unique combination of high-level actuarial strategy and hands-on technical expertise to his consulting practice. Formerly the Chief Actuary at AAIS, Anton specializes in actuarial pricing, product development, and model-based process optimization for claims.
He possesses deep expertise across a broad spectrum of Personal and Commercial lines, including Private Passenger and Commercial Auto, Homeowners, Farmowners, Commercial Property and Liability, Dwelling Property, Inland Marine, and Workers Compensation.
Professional Highlights:
- Strategic Leadership: Served as Chief Actuary at AAIS, where he oversaw countrywide rating information, new product pricing, and affiliate consulting.
- Product Development: Led the product pricing design and development, filing and post launch support of a Non-Standard Auto product for Kemper Insurance and a Homeowners By-Peril product for AAIS. Built and implemented new rating features, underwriting and pricing scorecards.
- Regulatory Expertise: Managed rate level reviews and filing support for all U.S. Departments of Insurance.
- Advanced Modeling: Developed and deployed a comprehensive set of claim models and monitoring processes for Sentry Insurance, utilizing GLM and machine-learning techniques (Gradient Boosted Trees) in Python and R.
Anton holds M.A. degrees in both Statistics and Computer & Electrical Engineering from Wayne State University. A recognized thought leader, he has presented at the CAS RPM seminar and contributed to Best’s Review magazine. He is based in Plover, Wisconsin.
